the history of Methodist churches and some of our beliefs.
i read up abit abt denominations but its quite a confusing and complex categorisation..
anybody willing to share the made-simple version?

Methodist are categorised under protestants.
Protestantism refers to the forms of Chrisitan faith and practice that originated in the 16th century Protestant reformation. Protestant doctrine, in opposition to that of Roman Catholism, rejects papal authority and many elements of Roman Catholic doctrine. It typically holds that Scripture (rather than tradition or ecclesiastic interpretation of Scripture) is the only source of revealed truth, and also that salvation is the result of God's grace alone.
The Methodist movement traces its origin in 18th century Great Britain. Methodism followed from the work of John Wesley, who was an Anglican clergyman. Wesley sought to keep Methodism as are revival movement within the Church of England, and a significant number of Anglican clergy were known as Methodists.
Then in Britain, churches were apprehensive about singing/ showing emotions in church. worship consists of the reading of psalms and scriptures.. even in roman catholic churches, only the choir sang. Alot of controversies arised when John Wesley decided to write his own hymnals using the tune of popular music and encouraged his church to sing. Methodists were known as the singing ppl of God =)
Apart from this, John Wesley led other rivival movements like the belief in "prevenient grace" as opposed to determinism and absolute pre destinism. i.e divine power does not assert its power over free will n choice..

for the past few weeks tensions hv been felt bwtn us and our entertainment devices..
relationships hv been forged wif our past tutorials and TYS instead..
we even divorced our bed ( as heard frm youwu aka yinu and njh)..
the tables n benches outside staffroom 2 is unprecedently fully occupied..
while we are trying hard, teachers are sweating hard for us too !
but the nice thing is, encouragement notes are increasing too =)
thanks to TZELIN n love actually, in times of competition and mugg-ness,
