treasure

Rebecca : "why is it so hard to build up someth,
yet so easy to destroy it? "

we watched our documentary

as it is being, erased.

we didn knw wad to do, cuz we wanted to save our recent work,
n our cd ran out of space.
and being deprived of any computer genius,
dinah:" y arhs? i thought rewrittable?"
rebecca:"i thk muz delete all the files inside then can rewrite."
i tried to delete the files.
computer:"ERROR. this file is a read only n may not be deleted."
dinah:" izzit erase cd arhs?"
rebecca:"yeah. so i press arhs?"
dinah:"press lo"
so rebecca clicked on the erase cd.
dinah:"eh, wad happen arhs, y our doc no pic liao, all crosses?"
-.-
Rebecca : "why is it so hard to build up someth,
yet so easy to destroy it? "

塞翁失马,焉知非福
we all learnt the hard way that,
thou shall save project and hath backup copies before attempting to erase cd.

rebecca's word really impacted me more than flushing my documentary into the drain.
it is so hard to piece someth together, for e.g. a strong empire, a happy family, a age old friendship, foundations in trust, career, academic results , LANGUAGE ARTS DOCUMENTARY PROJ,
but its so easy to dismantle it.
the walls of Jericho fell in just 7days,
just one freak accident may shatter a family,
a microscopic minuscule misunderstanding may cause a rift in friendships.
ur boss may just ask you to leave your dream job any moment,
failing one common test and there you'll have your rainbow of colours flying away.
one click is all the activation energy needed for an irreversible reaction.

although we were deeply devastated,
and we observed a few minutes of silence.

"let's restart."
"ok."

me, trying to lighten the tensed atmosphere,

"actually its no that bad lah,
we one click 2 days hardwork gone only what.
not like BANG CRASH and
ur existance is erased completely from the surface of the earth
and ur love ones have to forcefully remove you frm their lives.
one wrong step and ur whole life is erased
alongside with ur parent's efforts of 16years."

imagine feeling devastated over a project,
or mayb crying and mourning after failing a test,
so imagine how your love ones feel when you evaporated into thin air.

its inevitable that we will mourn over such mundane and trivial issues,
but its no point crying over spilt milk, so
"cast thy nighted colour off" ~Gertrude to Hamlet
live everyday happily,
treasure every second (preferbably with ur documentary )
and waste as less time as possible lamenting
spent as much time as possible smiling =)

and im glad to announce that 2 days after the catastrophe,
we've finished cutting and re-sequencing the scenes for the second time!

God always has a purpose for the tears.
He wants you to see the rainbow after the rain.
